#4 Photo Moments: Print and paste photos, adding handwritten captions that capture the moment. This is one of my favorite things to do because it’s so much fun when I look back on it years later! We always have so many pictures on our phones but it’s definitely worth printing some so you actually see them again.

#5 Map It Out: Use maps of the places you’ve visited and mark out the routes you took or places you loved.

#6 Packaging Pieces: Incorporate interesting packaging or labels from local products. Am I the only one who saves all of these kinds of things when I travel? Haha, but it makes for a fun scrapbook page!

#7 Currency Collection: Tape in coins or bills from the countries you visit (in a way that you can still remove them if needed).

#8 Press Flowers: Press and preserve flowers or leaves from special places.

#9 Envelope Pockets: Create pockets from envelopes to store extra items like receipts or notes. I’ve done this a few times when I have too many to stick out on a page!

Interactive Flaps: Create flaps that open to reveal photos, notes, or other secrets beneath. For example, you can add a photo flap and beneath write a special memory connected to that picture!

#10 Sketch Your Journey: Dedicate pages to your own sketches of landscapes, landmarks, or scenes that caught your eye. I’ve tried this once, not really my strength LOL. But would be cool for the artists!

#11 Boarding Pass Bouquet: Collect all your boarding passes and arrange them in a creative layout. You can do the same for train tickets, buses, etc!

#12 Quote Pages: Include quotes from locals or thoughts that came to you while observing or experiencing something memorable. Or, just general travel quotes that inspire you or make you think of your trip!

#13 Watercolor Washes: Use watercolors to create backgrounds that reflect the mood or palette of different locations. Doesn’t have to be fancy, but can add a nice touch!

#14 Receipts and Business Cards: Paste in receipts, business cards, or small paper items that remind you of particular experiences or meals.

#15 Seashells and Sand: If visiting beaches, include small seashells or a sealed packet of sand from your favorite beach. My mom keeps a small tray with a little flower pot in the kitchen and every time she goes on a trip she collects sand and shells to add. They all mix together but it’s fun to have the memories!

#16 Themed Pages: Design each page around a theme, such as “Cafes,” “Street Art,” or “Local Markets,” including relevant photos and items. I have one scrapbook where I try to add a page for every new destination! It’s fun to look back and remember even the small random places I’ve been.

#17 Personal Reflections: Have a page at the end of each trip section where you reflect on the best moments and lessons learned.

#18 Dining Delights: Create a “menu” of your favorite meals or drinks you’ve tried, with descriptions and what you liked about them.
